Photo Challenge 3

Day 3 – Your idea of the perfect first date.

I don't know if this is my idea of a perfect date but it definitely is one of my favorites. You all know how much I LOVE the aquarium so it is only fitting that my favorite date include it followed by some kind of food consumption. I guess I would prefer that the food did not include any seafood. Aquarium followed by seafood seems a little harsh...

Photo Challenge

I'm gonna try and get back to blogging and I'm stealing an idea from a friend's blog. It's a photo challenge for the next 30 days. Here goes...

Day 1 - A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

Today was a suuuuuuper lazy day. After 7 10 hour shifts of work I'm usually kinda sluggish but today I think I slept about 80% of the day! Finally, I got out of bed and went for a run and feel much better. So, this photo was taken after my run and shower. I feel refreshed and ready for... bed? Hopefully tomorrow will be more productive! At least I did the dishes today :D!

True Grit

It's a good flick! Definitely worth seeing!

It's funny...

...how gifts for friends have gone from this

to this

Aging has its interesting moments. Hope this doesn't mean that eventually I'll be shopping for adult diapers and denture cream!

What a Way to Start the Year

This trip was quite an eventful one. It started out fabulous with a visit with my best friend Angie in San Diego. She picked me up from the airport and it was like no time had passed since our last visit. I finally got to meet her two beautiful little guys and we spent a lot of time catching up. On our last day it was beautiful weather and we went to the Birch Aquarium:

The view from the outside deck was AMAZING and it definitely made me miss California.

I then met up with Ai and the plan for New Years Eve was Disneyland. I've been waiting for this Disneyland trip for about a year now. When we arrived in Anaheim we found out that Disneyland was sold out for NYE. We were a little bummed but we decided to pre-buy tickets for New Years Day and we would get up super early to make sure we got in. We decided to go shopping instead and we drove to Century City Mall where one of my favorite stores is...

So excited to be shopping where there is real shopping! After that we headed back to our hotel to relax before we hit up a movie and had dinner. As soon as we got into the room I didn't feel well. I had the "didn't know whether to poop or vomit" feeling and after my first barf it was over. I was sick, sick, sick the whole night and the entire next day. My view for 30 hours was this...

I spent my New Years countdown on the toilet. I spent my New Years day either in bed with horrible body aches or on the toilet doing you can imagine what. No Disneyland for me. I spent $76 on a ticket and didn't get to go. I brought my Minnie Mouse ears and didn't get to wear them. Can you tell that I'm STILL bummed about it????!!? DAMN YOU FOOD POISONING!!!!!!!!! Luckily my Disney ticket doesn't expire until the end of the year so that gives me a reason to go back. I can't believe that's how I started the year. Hopefully, 2011 has better things in store for me!
